The U.S. Consulate General is also located on Avenida Manuel Acuña in Monraz, making it one of the area’s most recognizable landmarks.

One of the things I personally enjoy most about Monraz is the lifestyle it offers.
It is a neighborhood where I feel comfortable walking around, which I do frequently. The streets have many mature trees and well-maintained planters, creating a pleasant environment for walking and spending time outdoors.
Monraz also has several parks and green spaces. For people who have dogs, this can be an especially attractive feature. There are areas where residents regularly walk their pets, and one of the local parks is particularly popular among dog owners.
The neighborhood also offers a great variety of cafés, restaurants and sports facilities.
Amoroso Café is one of my personal recommendations. They offer an excellent coffee and beverage menu, very good pastries, and a pleasant atmosphere that works well for meeting friends or even getting some work done.
I also recommend Brunila, especially if you enjoy coffee. The flavor is one of my personal favorites, and they also offer a variety of matcha drinks.
At Glorieta Monraz, you will find Amorela Café, a small coffee shop that is also a flower shop. If you are walking around the neighborhood or taking your dog for a walk, it is a lovely place to stop for a coffee before continuing your walk.
For those who enjoy an active lifestyle, Monraz also offers boutique fitness studios such as So Pilates and LOVI Pilates. The classes at So Pilates are very good, and the studio itself is also very beautiful, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. For strength and HYROX training, there is a studio called Level Performance, which I personally like for its strong sense of community and its well-structured training programs.
Another detail I personally appreciate is having local businesses nearby, such as Super Cabaña Monraz, where residents can find everyday products as well as organic options. Overall, Monraz offers a nice balance between a residential atmosphere and the convenience of having many services and activities close to home.
Walkability & Everyday Convenience
For me, one of Monraz’s strongest qualities is its walkability.
Being able to leave home and walk to a café, restaurant, park, fitness studio or local business can make a big difference in your everyday experience.
Of course, walkability can vary depending on the exact location of the property, which is why I always recommend exploring the surrounding streets before making a purchase. For buyers coming from cities where walking and outdoor activities are an important part of their lifestyle, this can be one of Monraz’s most appealing characteristics.
Getting Around
Monraz benefits from access to several important roads that connect it with other parts of Guadalajara.
